Integrating CRM Systems with your EMS

Integration is akin to automation. Would you like to manually complete the same task, everyday, for the rest of your career without an end in sight? Of course not! Thats why we wanted to share with you how we have integrated Client Relation Management Sales Systems (CRM) with Email Marketing Systems (EMS). In this example, we’ll be describing how we connected the Hubspot CRM with the Mailchimp EMS.

Independent upon what CRM system you currently use – and if you don’t use one then you definitely should – we’re utilizing multiple integrations with HubSpot. These include GMail and Zapier.

Integrating Gmail with HubSpot allows this CRM to access communication streams, new clients, new conversations for both inbound and outbound sales efforts. Meaning: You send a prospective client an email within your Gmail account will automatically add a new customer record in your CRM. Pretty cool Stuff.

Zapier is a different beast. You may have heard of the IFTTT (IF This Then Than) technology as its very popular with Home Automation technologies like Google Home, Amazon Alexa and others. Zapier is very similar to IFTTT but has – in out estimates – a boat load more integration options. We connect Hubspot to Mailchimp through Zapier. This is the easiest way to do it.

Zapier is the service that integrates with both HubSpot and MailChimp. The following image shows the 4 basic integration apps that allow for the Pushing of New CRM Clients to Mailchimp and the Pushing of Unsubscribes from MailChimp to HubSpot. This is an example of how we created a bi-directional information flow between these two systems.
